Kids Crew Children's Ministry
A place where kids can learn about jesus on their level
Every Sunday, Garland's kids are gathered together at Kids Crew, in preschool, and in the nursery to encounter Jesus in a safe, age-appropriate environment. Children learn about the Bible, how to relate to God, and how to love others through lessons and activities developed by our amazing team of committed volunteers.
We believe that faith is seeded in the home. It is for this reason that we prioritize equipping parents to train their children in the Gospel throughout the week.
Sundays at Garland
Kids in grades K-5th are invited to attend Kids Crew during Sunday morning service. Kids worship with their families until they are dismissed to meet their teachers at the back of the worship center.
Sunday Crew includes scripture memory activities, Kids in Action projects, and a few activities to help kids prepare for the week.
Wednesday Kids Crew
Our mid-week gathering is the culmination of the week's topic learned during Sunday Crew and during the lessons at home. This is an interactive learning experience where we help kids connect to God, find their place in his grand redemptive narrative, and respond to him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Activities include crafts, singing, gym-time, scripture memory, small groups and more. Join us for our community dinner at 5:30, followed by Kids Crew from 6:30 to 8:30.
Nursery & Preschool
We seek to provide care for young children during almost all church gatherings. Nursery care is available from birth through age 2.
Preschool classes accommodate kids until they go into Kindergarten. The Cry Room and Nursing Mothers Room are both available to parents with infants. See an usher for locations!
Support for Families
HomeFront Weekly is a family resource that equips parents to be the primary nurturers of their children's faith through their time together in God's Word, prayer and blessing. Garland also regularly provides parenting classes.
Kids in Action (KIA) – Believing that God desires every follower of Christ to exercise their faith through service, Children's Ministry offers ideas and opportunities for kids to serve at Garland, as well as in the community.
Sports Camp – Kids in grade K-6th are invited to join us during the summer for a fantastic week of learning about our faith as well as sports skills in soccer, volleyball or cheerleading. Camp runs M-F mornings. Kids won't want to miss it!
Camp Wooten – Kids entering 3rd-6th grade can take part in our summer camp experience at Summer Blast at Camp Wooten on the Tucannon River.
