Short Term Mission Trips

Zambia Team Three and Cambodia in 2011 – Two teams will go in two directions next year. Watch for details to come.

Zambia Team Two – 2010 In April, Pastor Rod Cosgrove, Lynn Weitz, Denise Sloon and Darcy Stockdill are traveling to Choshen Farm and Fimpulu. They will be doing teaching, training, and intercession during the time they will be there. Please pray that God will open up hearts, minds, and clear the way for His glory to fill the land there.

Cambodia – 2009 Jonathan and Nicki Benson represented Garland in July of 2009 as they visited our longtime CMA missionary, Joyce Johns. We wished to encourage Joyce and become more familiar with her work in Cambodia so that we may be better partners with her and the people there that she serves. Also, Bensons are preparing to go to the mission field and this gave them an opportunity to experience conditions on the field. May God help us to prepare brothers and sisters to go and support them when they do.

Zambia Scout Team – 2008 We sent Pastor Rod Cosgrove, Darcy and Dave Stockdill, Amy Cutler and Matt Prior to Choshen Farm and the Fimpulu Villages in November. The purpose of this trip was to encourage Jeremy Colvin and seek ways to form relationships with the Fimpulu people. A bonus was meeting Bethany who is now Mrs. Colvin. While there, the team, the Colvins, and our Fimpulu friends devised a variety of ways to serve one another. We hope this will be long lasting and become a very warm and familiar friendship. May God be blessed and glorified.
