Global Mission - Why Go?
Our God is a missionary God. His goal is to see the earth covered with His Glory. Missions exist because worship does not. (Perspectives on the World Christian Movement)

Garland Mission Statement:
The Mission of Garland Church is to build a community of people fully devoted to Jesus Christ, and dedicated to reaching those far from God.

Our Commission - To live in global purpose:
At Garland, we want to be a vital, passionate living entity that exudes excitement for the great calling God has given us - to love Him and join Him in blessing the families of the earth wherever we can. We want to be a people with significance and going forward to fulfill with purpose the specific plans our Father calls us to do. We want to come alongside our congregation with compelling excitement that all will feel deeply the call to the dedication to reaching those far from God.

Global Mission Goals for 2007-2008:
A. Seek God's Face; establish creative prayer for missions with Spirit & Truth.
B. Establish mission education opportunities
C. Establish training for short term missions and send teams
D. Develop support and relationships between congregation and missionaries
E. Develop communications for missions with congregation
F. Develop relationships with mission agencies and organizations
