Quilts of Valor Sew Day

Garland has an active quilting group. All-day events that are scheduled two to three times a year could include a class to make a fun project or work parties to make quilts through the Quilts of Valor organization. See the Garland QOV Group Facebook Page for more information read about a QOV project in the The Spokesman Review.

The Quilts of Valor® Foundation has chosen February 3, 2018, as National QOV Sew Day.  Quilters from all over America will gather together and sew for our service members and veterans touched by war.  Bring QOVs you're working on or want to start or I will have fabric, patterns and kits for sewing and work for our hand sewers.

Remember to sew a couple of the QOV 2018 blocks in bright red, white and/or blue that we can combine to make quilts .  Pattern available at QOVF.org.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP by filling in your name and address below and we'll plan a special lunch. Also be sure and visit QOVF.org and fill out the form to complete your registration information.  The information WILL NOT be shared with any businesses, companies, etc. -- guaranteed.

If  you  are a QOVF member - please sign-in  first  and then choose  "Current  Events" from the drop down "What would you like to do?" menu, scroll down and click on  National Sew Day 2018, click on register and follow the instructions.  Very easy and quick! Each year we've had a group member win a prize through the National QOVF.
